Behind Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan and Ann Romney had the highest VoiceShare during the week of coverage of the Republican National Convention. Mitt Romney’s statements were amplified the most across the media space, with one-third (33.4%) of the statements in election media coverage during the RNC coming from him. Paul Ryan’s speech was also a major story, as statements concerning Obama’s record were picked over and disputed. Ann Romney’s speech was also of high interest, with over 10% of the statements in election coverage during the RNC coming from the amplification of statements from her speech. Other notable speakers during this year’s RNC that topped headlines were Chris Christie, Newt Gingrich, Marco Rubio and John Kasich.
