Energy Issue Rises Above Social Issues in Coverage
During the month of March, statements related to the issue of Energy (primarily connected to the conversation of high gas prices) replaced statements related to Social Issues. At the beginning of the month, the issue of Energy stood at under 1.5% of the total percentage of statements, while Social Issues accounted for 10% of the total percentage. During the course of March, the percentage of Energy statements ranged between 7.5% and 11.5% and ended the month at 4.5% of the total percentage. Social Issues ended the month at below 1% of the total percentage of statements.
